14th Annual Taste of Africa® Festival
Come celebrate Africa and her Diaspora at the 14th Annual Taste of Africa® Festival, a joyful, all-day gathering of music, dance, food, art, and community in Downtown Livermore. Families, friends, and neighbors from across the Bay Area will come together for a lively celebration shaped by the people and cultures it honors.
Enjoy Tanzanian cuisine, Kenyan barbecue, Chicago-style barbecue, and other African and African Diaspora dishes throughout the day. The main stage will feature powerful performances by Diamano Coura West African Dance Company, African Queens Dance Company, Cunamacué, SambaDá, and Gana Batu, with Queen Iminah guiding the celebration as festival emcee.
The festival also includes the African Marketplace, storytelling, art and cultural activities, hands-on experiences for kids, and free dance and drumming workshops led by experienced teaching artists. Taste of Africa® is free, family-friendly, and created for all generations to gather, celebrate, and share in the creativity and cultural connections that make our communities vibrant.
