Pacific Chamber Orchestra opens its 37th season September 19 and 20 with Songs of the Heart, a program exploring music that is personal, intimate, and deeply human. Featuring Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with tenor Sam Faustine and Principal Horn Craig Hansen, the concert also includes Barber’s Adagio for Strings, Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, Gabriela Lena Frank’s An Andean Walkabout, and Dag Wirén’s Serenade. The performances also introduce Principal Cellist Eileen Moon, formerly of the New York Philharmonic.
