For $40 per person or $280 for a table of 8, you get dinner, dessert, interactive horse racing, $2,000 in play money in a fun, social atmosphere. Prizes are awarded and we also have some fantastic silent auction items. Quench your thirst at our no-host bar.
How it works:
When you arrive; you’ll receive a Racing Program with a plastic pocket containing $2,000 in script money. You’ll be able to use your script money to bet on any combination of six horses in six heats. Additional script money will be available for purchase of $20 in real money for $2,000 in script money. Since everything is script money; it means you can bet tens of thousands of dollars and never lose a cent. A grid pattern will be taped off on the lodge floor. Volunteers will stand in this grid pattern. These volunteer racers will progress along the grid through a process of rolling large foam rubber dice to determine which horse will cross the finish line first. Of course, you won’t be able to win any actual money, but you can win bragging rights! We’ll even give prizes and winners certificates to every winning horse and the top three winners of script money to cement those bragging rights.
Since proceeds support Elks’ projects; everyone will end the evening a winner.
Get your tickets at http://eveningAtTheRaces.com. When making your reservation, please list the names of anyone you wish to be seated with in the (Notes) section of the electronic reservation system. Please note that because alcoholic beverages will be available during the Evening at the Races; we must regrettably restrict attendance to this event to 21 years and older. Since this is an event where the proceeds are charity related, no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.
This event is for entertainment purposes only. No real money gambling is involved. All wagering is conducted using play money with no cash value.
