Join this interactive workshop to learn about the culturally responsive parenting program SAPHAL (South Asian Parents/Caregivers: Heal And Learn). Facilitator Sangita Biswas, LMFT, will cover topics including boundaries, emotion regulation, praise and repair, self-compassion, and the developing brain. Presented by Narika and Lotus Family Therapy. SAPHAL (translation from Hindi: ‘success’) is a violence prevention program for parents & caregivers that focuses on building healthy relationships with our youth, our families & communities. SAPHAL was created by South Asians, for South Asians. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events.
