Children in 1st through 5th grade can read in 25-minute sessions, one-on-one with one of Valley Humane Society's certified Canine Comfort teams. Paws to Read helps children develop confidence in reading aloud in a non-judgmental environment. Paws to Read is not a program to help children overcome a fear of dogs. Participating children must not be afraid of dogs nor have allergies to dogs. Online registration opens on Tuesday, March 24, 2025 at 1 p.m.. A contact information form will be sent in the program confirmation email. This form is required before participating on a program evening.
