Celebrate Día by creating your own bookmark! The craft takes just 15–30 minutes to complete. Feel free to drop in anytime during the program and create it at your own pace. Children under 8 will need a caretaker to assist them with the craft.Día, short for Día de los niños/Día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day), is held on April 30 and is a celebration of children and literacy. Día recognizes that children come from various backgrounds, cultures, languages, and abilities, and their books should reflect this. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
