Columnar and Opuntia cacti, with their paddle-like arms and upright, sculptural forms, are among the most iconic plants of the dry garden. They also make striking accent plants. In this online lecture, we will explore the wide range of columnar and paddle cacti growing in the Garden, with special attention to their fleeting blooms, distinctive textures, and colorful fruits.
Please note that this will be a pre-recorded webinar followed by a LIVE Q&A session with Curator Brian Kemble. (offered via Zoom) After registration (see below), you will receive instructions and a Zoom link one day prior to the lecture.
How it works: Register one person with one email at a time. If you would like to register multiple people, please register them each separately with separate emails. Registrants will receive a link to the zoom one day before the webinar. After the webinar, all registrants will then receive a link to the recording so they may re-watch if desired. Once the recording is sent, you will have seven days to watch. After that time, the link will expire. Access to the webinar recordings after the expiration date will be a charge of $15 (members)/$25 (non-members).
