Calling all toddlers and preschoolers for some yoga time! Practicing yoga helps kids sleep better, improve emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood and affect. This instructor-led program will take the kids and their caregivers through gentle yoga poses. Recommended Ages: 2 - 5 years. Please dress appropriately and bring your own water, yoga mat, or a towel. No prior experience required. Space is limited. Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Akila Padmanabhan is a yoga teacher pursuing a diploma in yoga therapy. She began her yoga journey over 5 years ago and teaches wellness yoga, prenatal yoga, and therapy yoga classes for kids and adults. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance.
