In collaboration with AARP Foundation volunteers, Civic Center Library is hosting free tax preparation services, by appointment only, on Thursdays through April 9, 2026. Since 1968, Tax-Aide has helped more than 82 million taxpayers file their returns for free. The Tax-Aide program is geared toward seniors and low-income residents but is open to all qualifying situations. You do not need to be a member of AARP to use this service. Take the stress out of tax season with free tax assistance at Livermore Public Library! Please call the library at 925-373-5505 or email lib@livermoreca.gov to schedule an appointment, which are held in the Civic Center Library Board Room, at the following times: 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 1:45 p.m. Additionally, Livermore Public Library offers a limited number of free federal and state income tax forms.
